God moments

Been feeling a little jadded recently with no energy for anything much. Decided to spend the afternoon visiting yesterday. First stop the hopsital - always fun as the visiting times seem incomprehensible to me. Its used to be 2-8 then infection control had it changed to 2-3 and 7-8 across the 3 hospitals in the city. Being a good minister I try to stick to these times even though it can mean sitting in a car for an hour to park at one of the hospitals.

Anyway turned up at 2 to be told it was 3-8 on this ward.(duaghter of patient had a leaflet that said 2-8 that she had been given when her mum arrived on the ward) AGHHHH! Another ward on the same hopsital has 3-4 and 7-8! I was allowed 5 mins and then the person was asleep! I don't like phoning and wasting people's time so I waste mine.

-So I was early to next two visits which was fine but meant I finished earlier than I expected so took the chance to visit someone I rarely get the chance to see who is in an other church. She was not there but her husband was - turned out to be a real God moment as he shared where he was on his journey of faith - currently quite an unconventional place and he had felt unable to share it with anyone else bar his wife. What a priviledge that was - we talked and I have promised to find some books that will help. I came away feeling energised - deep talking about faith always does that to me and I am so grateful that I listened to that inner voice and did that visit instead of driving past as I often do
