Life in variety

Yesterday saw a Caribbean Carnival in the town and as usual we went to see the procession and have lunch - always a flavoursome affair: today saw us eating saltfish and dumbling, patties, sweetcorn and friend platain all wasked down with fresh coconut milk sipped through a straw from the coconut itself ( memories of India came flooding back)

There is rarely any trouble and once back home we were able to listen to the music from the garden.

What I loved most was one food stall that said it was selling ' Halal Asian Caribbean' food' - what a wonderfully rich place I live in!
